Crypto News | Canadian bitcoin platform Shakepay introduces new Visa prepaid card

 Shakepay, a Montreal-based platform that allows Canadians to buy, sell, and send bitcoin, announced today that it has partnered with Marqeta, a card issuing platform, to power the launch of a new Visa prepaid card for Shakepay customers, issued by Marqeta’s sponsoring financial institution People’s Bank.

Founded in 2015, Shakepay is a leading platform for buying and selling digital currencies in Canada. Shakepay reports facilitating more than CAD $2 billion in purchases and sales on its platform to date and serving more than 420,000 Canadians.
