 As per data from CoinMarketCap, Dogecoin has now vaulted XRP to become the fourth largest cryptocurrency in the world, with a total market capitalization of roughly $87 billion.

However, a new report from Galaxy Digital Research, based on analysis of on-chain metrics, suggests Dogecoin has “remarkably strong fundamentals and powerful forces supporting its rise”. Entitled “Dogecoin: The most honest sh*tcoin”, the report asserts that the real value of Dogecoin is in the complete lack of pretence.

“Unlike many other cryptocurrency projects, Dogecoin does not seek, or even pretend, to be anything more than the world’s most fun currency,” the report states. “There’s no grand vision, no pronouncements about how Dogecoin will change the world.”
